Calling all creative students who have walked the long walk to campus—to talk the talk— with a chance to win the grand prize of an electric scooter. 

 

In January, we will cut the ribbon on the new pedestrian bridge. We hope to highlight UVU students during the program. We are asking you to submit two takes of a 15 second video of yourself explaining how the new UVU Pedestrian Bridge will benefit your education. 

 

You don’t need to include your name in the video- it will have already been shared. Please complete your submission by 11:59 PM (MST) on Saturday, December 5, 2020.

 

To upload you will need to click the “record your video” button on this email. Choose the option to upload. 

 

·      We want you to be you- authentic, unrehearsed and positive. Watch the timer- but pace yourself. (You won’t win for sounding like an auctioneer.) 

·      Do a couple of takes—keeping in mind that you should be shooting in a landscape/horizontal orientation and not portrait/vertical mode. 

·      Look into the camera (not at that alluring box of yourself on your screen) Position your phone or laptop at “eye level” so your face isn’t distorted. 

·      Rest your device against something so it’s not moving. 

·      Record in a place with good lighting and not highly contrasting light. (The best place to record is in a shaded place outdoors or indoors.) 

·      Use as quiet, simple neutral background to avoid distractions. If you have UVU attire, accessories, jewelry, or props- let your Wolverine pride shine, but avoid anything too reflective or that could make noise while moving. 

 

UVU Studios will work with your video to create a final version that will play during the program. Once good luck!
